Plissé Insect Screens

Plissé insect screens are an elegant, folding solution for protecting interiors from insects. They are ideal for terrace and balcony doors, as well as for large window openings. These screens operate similarly to an accordion – folding into a narrow stack either sideways or upwards.

Unlike roller screens, plissé screens do not contain return springs. This means the operation is smooth, quiet, and easy. They are manually operated – via a handle or grip. Thanks to their construction, they’re suitable for openings up to 3 meters wide.

We use high-quality pleated mesh, tensioned within a thin yet sturdy frame. When closed, they take up minimal space and don’t obstruct the view or interior aesthetics.

Customer Reviews

J
Janka, Smolenice

After several years, our windows started to let in drafts and wouldn’t close properly. The technicians from Window Solutions arrived quickly, adjusted everything, lubricated the fittings, and now the windows feel like new. Professional service at a fair price.

We have an insect screen with a small pet door, and it’s a great solution. We can finally ventilate the house without bugs flying in. It looks good and works even better.

I really appreciated that the technician didn’t replace everything unnecessarily, but explained which seals could still be treated with impregnation. You can feel the difference after the service.

Our windows were difficult to close and in poor condition—we thought replacement would be necessary. But the technician from Window Solutions adjusted and lubricated them, and now everything works perfectly. I really appreciate their honest approach.

  • Seal gasket impregnation is a maintenance process where the gaskets are treated with a special product that restores their flexibility and extends their lifespan. This treatment helps maintain optimal window tightness and should be performed at least once a year—ideally in autumn, before the start of the heating season.

  • This type of blind requires regular maintenance—ideally using a duster or a soft, dry cloth. For heavier dirt, a damp cloth with a mild fabric cleaner can be used, although plain clean water is usually the safest optio

  • The average price ranges from a few dozen euros to several hundred euros, depending on factors such as the number of windows, the complexity of the service, and the materials required. Your Service Advisor will always provide an exact quote after the free inspection.

  • Of course, it's entirely up to you whether you decide to proceed with the service after the inspection and price quote.

  • Yes, we can repair or replace components on horizontal blinds to restore full functionality. For more details, visit the Interior Shading Solutions section on our website.

  • If the blinds aren't heavily soiled, we recommend using a dry cloth to gently wipe the slats from top to bottom. For light dust buildup, a vacuum cleaner may be used occasionally—always on the lowest suction setting. In case of heavier dirt or grease, a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution can be used to clean the surface.
